South Asian Federation of Exchanges Attended SAARC Colloquium

The South Asian Federation of Exchanges was recently invited to attend a SAARC Colloquium held at Kathmnadu, Nepal under the theme of the Management of Stock Exchange Systems and Regulation of Securities Markets in the region. Discussions were spread over two days (21-22 April 2008) with representation from SAFE by Mr. Aftab Ahmad Ch., Secretary General SAFE and Ms. Sanam Shadani, Deputy Secretary General.

SAFE during their 4 day stay also made a courtesy call on Nepal Stock Exchange, where headed by Mr. R B Karki, GM NEPSE both parties had a very committed discussions on bilateral relations, as well as devising ways for concrete capacity building and the up gradation of investment facilities.
