SECOND TRAINING INITIATIVE 2008 Specialized and interactive one week training course entitled Executive Course for Exchange Managers and Compliance Officers was designed for professionals involved in the management of Emerging market Exchanges on international Standards for the operation and management of securities and derivatives exchanges in alliance with Futures & Options Association (FAO) of UK and National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) on August 25 – 29, 2008

The training provided a brilliant opportunity to the participants to learn from the GURU’S of capital market. The course Director was Trevor Narwood, Director Training Limited, London, having over 20 years of financial services training experiences.

The course involved group work, presentations, key notes & lectures by industrial experts and leaders of Capital Market which greatly helped professionals in:
  • Identifying the opportunities and threats faced by exchanges
  • Knowing the different types of market structures and models
  • Understanding the key success criteria for new derivatives
  • Demonstrating awareness of the personal characteristics necessary for effective regulations
  • Recognizing the importance of common standards and the adoption of international protocols I achieving operational efficiencies.
This initiative of SAFE is helpful in refreshing the skills of participants and keeps them abreast of new tools and methodologies of capital markets and provide them with an opportunity to network and grow collectively.

Presently, SAFE is involved in hectic endeavors to launch the SAFE Institute of Knowledge Management to streamline training activities in the region and prepare our market professionals through formal and regular capacity building initiatives for the next competitive era of capital market.
