Capacity Building Initiatives: A need of hour
The continuing chronic shortage of human and institutional capacity in South Asian region presented a major constraint to economic growth and capital market development. The region lagged behind others in technological proficiency, institutional capacity and human development.

Market professionals and office bearers always need new skills and competencies to cope with increasing challenges across the changing competitive landscape of capital market industry; therefore one of the core objectives of inception of SAFE is capacity building and development of human resource to meet the current and upcoming challenges.

SAFE through efficient utilization of its limited resources, provided the framework within which the region’s capital markets deficiencies and shortages in human capacity can be addressed and took the initiative of capacity building by providing scholarships at first and then moving on the broader spectrum of training programs.

SAFE’s capacity building program delivers value to member entities by providing a platform for leading-edge practices and improving the capabilities of a variety of stakeholder groups, particularly today’s and tomorrow’s Capital Market managers and leaders. The program has a range of tools available to enable participants to implement sustainable development in capital market industry.

Capacity building program is designed to enable future business leaders to become effective ambassadors for South Asian capital market development through experiential learning, knowledge creation and the building of networks and skills.
